Maians: shipping, returns, & exchange policies

 

 

Domestic shipping terms:  Spain & Portugal

We offer FREE shipping on all orders within continental Spain & Portugal.

Most online orders are shipped within one or two business days from order placement.  We will ship your order from either our factory in la Rioja, Spain or from our small warehouse in Barcelona.   Once your order is shipped, you should receive your order within two to five business days of its ship date.

We will email you a tracking number when your order is being shipped.

Please make sure your shipping address is correct when you place your order.  We are unable to re-direct orders once they have been shipped – orders that are returned back to us because of an invalid address may be reshipped at your expense. After an order has been delivered to the correct shipping address, we cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen packages.  Any additional shipping costs are nonrefundable.

International shipping terms

We use FEDEX international economy for all of our European Union customers and FEDEX International priority service for all of our international customers outside of the European Union.

Once your order has been shipped, you should receive your order within two to four business days from the ship date if you reside in the European Union.

The shipping times & prices vary depending on where we are shipping to (please consult below), but all shipments anywhere worldwide should arrive within 7 business days from the date they are shipped from Spain.

A) LOCAL ZONE

  • Continental Spain & Portugal
  • Shipping:     FREE   (there are no shipping charges for you, the client)
  • Exchanges:  FREE   (there are no shipping charges for you, the client)
  • Returns:      5 € (we will pick up goods from you with our transport agency)

B) EUROPE ZONE #1

  • Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Slovakia, and the UK.
  • Shipping: 10 €
  • Exchanges:  The shipping from your home to our warehouse is at the customer’s expense.  Once we have received the returned product, we will send you your new exchanged pieces for FREE.
  • Returns:  Shipping cost at the customer’s expense. It is important that you attain a tracking number for your returned shipment.

C) EUROPE ZONE #2

  • Bulgaria, Canarias, Ceuta y Melilla, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Madeira, Lithuania, Monaco, Norway, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Romania, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland.
  • Shipping:  25 €
  • Exchanges: The shipping from your home or place of business to our warehouse in Spain is at the customer’s expense. Once we have received the product, we will send you your new product with no shipping charges.
  • Returns:  Shipping cost at the customer’s expense. It is important that you attain a tracking number for your returned shipment.

Note:  Depending on your country, you might have to pay an extra duty when you receive / exchange or return the product. Please consult Import Duties & Taxes below for more information.

D) INTERNATIONAL ZONE 1

  • Australia, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Macedonia, Malta, New Zealand, and the United States
  • Shipping: 45 € (Please note, this is a flat shipping fee.  You can purchase one pair or as many pairs as you like and you will ONLY be charged this flat fee of 45 euros for the cost of shipping)
  • Exchanges:  We do not do exchanges for this zone. If you would like to return your order, you can return it and order a new one from our online store.   PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE MAKING RETURNS.
  • Returns:  On customer’s expenses. Please note that these costs may also include duties and taxes for the goods to re-enter Spain if you are in a non European Union country.  Please take careful note of this when making your purchase since these costs can be quite high and the process very complicated.

E) INTERNATIONAL 2

  • Angola, Barbados, Bermuda, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Cayman Islands, Chile, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Fiji, French Guiana, French Polynesia, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Honk Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Laos, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Martinique, Mexico, Montserrat, Montenegro, Nepal, Netherlands Antilles, New Caledonia, Nigeria, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Reunion islands, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Ukraine and Vietnam.
  • Shipping: 65 € (Please note, this is a flat shipping fee.  You can purchase one pair or as many pairs as you like and you will ONLY be charged this flat fee of 65 euros for the cost of shipping)
  • Exchanges: We do not do exchanges for this zone. If you would like to exchange your model, you can return it and order a new one from our online store.  Please contact us before making a return.
  • Returns:  On customer’s expenses. Please note that these costs may also include duties & taxes for the goods to re-enter Spain if you are in a non European Union country.

F) OTHER COUNTRIES

Unfortunately we are unable to ship at this time to countries not included in the above lists.  If you are from another country and would like assistance please send an email to sales@maians.es and we will do our best to fulfill your needs.

Import Duties & Taxes.

Import duties and/or taxes are not included in the product price or shipping cost for non European Union countries. These duties & taxes for non EU customers are an additional cost that may be collected from you by the carrier upon delivery.

We currently ship all items Delivery At Place (DAP). Once your order is shipped, the carrier will bill you to pay all import duties, customs and sales taxes levied by the country you are shipping to if you are outside of the European Union.

We advise that you are familiar with your package destination’s import duty, customs and local sales taxes as well as its rules and regulations for importing foreign goods and products prior to purchasing.

FAQs

 I placed an order but I changed my mind and/or I do not want to pay the duties, can I refuse my package and have it “returned to sender” (RTS)?
Upon delivery, your package has already entered and has been cleared by your local customs agency, and therefore, the customs duties and taxes have been applied. If you choose to refuse your package, you will still be held accountable for your customs duties, sales tax and return shipping and no refund will be applicable.

Can I return a package without paying the duties and taxes if I am non European Union country?
Once you have received the notification for duties & taxes for your order, your shipment has already been cleared by your government´s customs authority. If you would like to return your parcel, you, the buyer, are required to pay the duties & taxes and then organize for your parcel to be sent back to Maians footwear here in Spain.
Once your package arrives back to us, we will refund you the cost of your order minus initial shipping cost.  Please take note that we cannot recover duties and taxes for you – these are payable by you, the buyer in all cases.

Will I be refunded the full value of my order?
We will refund you the cost of your items in full minus shipping cost if we receive your return within our return policy window. Please note, that for those countries not in the European Community, duties and taxes charged by your countries tax authorities are non-refundable.

Returns & Refund Policy.
We want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase. If you are unhappy for any reason, we will gladly accept a return of an unworn item within 14 business days of reception of your order.  Returned shoes should be in the original condition, unworn, unwashed or used in any other way.  It is also important that the shoe box is in its original condition.  We will offer a full refund minus original shipping charges and duties paid for the returned shoes.

Customers will be responsible for shipping and handling charges to return any unwanted items. If the package does not reach us safely we will not be able to complete the refund, so it is recommended to use a tracked method for safe delivery.

We will credit your original method of payment minus original shipping charges and duties paid. Once your return arrives within at the return address please allow 10 business days for your refund to be processed. You will be notified by email once finalized.

Please note: any return item not shipped back within the 14 day return policy window will not be accepted.

FAULTY PRODUCT

Every product we send out is initially quality controlled. However, if you have received a product with a manufacturing fault we will happily replace it or refund the cost as long as it has been returned within 30 days of purchase. Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a manufacturing fault.
If you have received a faulty item please email us at sales@maians.es to arrange a prepaid return postage label.  We will replace the faulty pair if stock is available or refund you the purchase price upon return.

Please do not return faulty items before contacting with us first.

If you are in a country outside of the European Union, please contact us at sales@maians.es before sending back faulty product.
